Want to know what it’s like to stay with us? Here’s a report on some family fun at the campground from a few recent guests!
“I visited Monterey with my husband and 10-year-old twin girls. We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted with a double rainbow right when we arrived at the clubhouse/cabin and took that as a good sign. What struck us most at first sight were the amazing views of the mountains and sky and the quaintness of the clubhouse/cabin itself and the camp site.
The cabin very comfortably fit the four us. We had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen area was very spacious, and it was so nice to have a place to put out all of our supplies. The bunks were nice and big and comfy – very cozy, too, for reading at night with our book lights. We also spent a lot of time sitting on the porch at night with our lanterns and candles, tending to the camp fire.
One nice feature of the camp is the bathroom building – a nice, big, open room with sinks, big shower stalls, and private toilets. It was really one of our favorite spots.
While at the camp, we ventured out on some mini trips. It’s nicely located near town (Monterey) and not far from some other cool spots. One of those spots that we loved was the Jefferson Pools and Warm Springs. They were a scenic 30-minute drive away and so relaxing. We also spent a whole day at the Monterey pool, which was perfect in the summer with kids.”
